Course Overview

The Gel Extensions Course at Havana Sun Academy, Mullingar, is an advanced, two-day professional training designed for nail technicians who want to perfect the art of sculpting and maintaining beautiful, durable gel nails. This comprehensive course is taught in two separate sessions — ideally spaced one to two weeks apart — giving students time to practice and build confidence before returning for the refill and maintenance training.

This class is suitable for qualified technicians who have already completed the BIAB Gel Polish and E-File Course. These skills are essential for understanding product structure, safe nail preparation, and efficient file control, which are the foundation for creating flawless gel extensions.

Training takes place in small, focused groups of up to 6 students, ensuring personal attention and guided practice from our experienced educators.
Students will work on their own hands during both sessions — no external models are required.

On Day 1, you’ll learn nail preparation, form placement, gel structure building, shaping, and finishing techniques.
On Day 2, you’ll return for the Refill & Maintenance session, focusing on infills, correcting lifting, removing product safely, and perfecting overall durability and appearance. Throughout the course, you’ll also cover troubleshooting topics such as heat spikes, air pockets, product breakdown, and correct apex balance.

The course is fully AIT-accredited, and upon successful completion, students will receive a recognised Gel Extensions Certificate, enabling them to safely and professionally perform gel enhancement services in any salon or as independent nail artists.

Entry Requirements:
Completion of both BIAB Gel Polish Course and E-File Course is required before attending this class.

Payment Information

To secure your place, a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking.
The remaining balance can be paid in the salon by card or cash before the first training day.
You may also choose to pay the full amount upfront when booking.

• Minimum age: 16 years
• Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 10 days of the course date.
• Rescheduling may be possible with sufficient notice, subject to availability.
• Havana Sun Academy reserves the right to reschedule courses in case of low attendance or unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, students will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

What You Receive

A Havana Sun Academy course goodie bag, including a training product kit to support your work after the course (excluding electrical equipment and hard tools).

Each participant receives a comprehensive printed and digital Gel Extensions training manual, access to all professional products, forms, gels, and tools during both training days, and continued post-course mentoring support through our WhatsApp.
Tea, coffee, and light refreshments are provided during training.
